Appointments

Appointments

We currently accept bookings via the telephone. For urgent problems please phone before 10am for triage by the clinical team.  For anything that is non-urgent please call after 10am or use the e-consult booking service (see below)

Home visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send one of our paramedic practitioners, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery.

Online Consultations

We offer an e-Consult service for medical advice and administrative queries.  This can be used for sick certificates as well as any non-urgent medical questions and requests.  Please click here to use the service.

On Friday the 19th January we will be using Accurx triage for online communication with patients. This will be replacing eConsult. Most patients will have already used Accurx when receiving or responding to SMS messages. We are making this change in response to feedback.

Accurx allows you, as the patient, to describe in your own words how we can help you. It also allows the team to have a much more open dialogue, ask more relevant questions and direct you to the most appropriate service. Those not wishing to use online methods will still have the same access via the telephones or by visiting reception and will be asked similar questions.

We would like to thank you for your support and patience in the interim.
